Sample 5 Day/4 Night Programme

Day One

• Travel from School to France by coach and Ferry or Shuttle (bring a packed meal)

• Late afternoon arrival at residential centre

• Evening dinner followed by discussion or explore local area

Day Two

• Continental Breakfast

• Depart by coach for Le Memorial de Caen Museum (packed lunch provided)

• Afternoon: Continue by coach to visit the Pegasus Bridge site and Memorial at Ranville

• Evening dinner at the centre followed by DVD screening or discussion at the centre

Day Three

• Continental Breakfast

• Coach travel to a typical French Market to practice the language

• Lunch at centre

• Travel by coach to Bayeux to visit the Museum of the Bayeux Tapestry or the Museum of the Battle of Normandy

• Evening dinner at the centre followed by discussion

Day Four

• Continental Breakfast

• Walk to Juno Beach to see D-Day landing sites and Gun Emplacements

• Lunch at centre

• Afternoon coach visit to Gold Beach, followed by the Musée de Débarquement and the 360° Circular Cinema at Arromanches

• Evening dinner at the centre followed by a Disco - don't forget to bring along your favourite CDs!

Day Five

• Continental Breakfast

• Depart with packed lunch by coach for journey home

• Late evening arrival back at School
