Sample 2 Day/1 Night Programme
Day One
Early morning
departure from school to France by Executive Coach and Ferry or Shuttle (bring a
packed meal for the journey).
Stop at Arras to
visit the recently opened Wellington Quarry Underground Quarters which was home
to some 20,000 Allied soldiers for two years during World War One.
Travel onward to your residence in Albertwhich was purpose-built for school visits and opened just
two years ago. All accommodation is en-suite.
Evening dinner at Albert followed by optional activities at
the centre or stroll in the town centre with teachers.
Day Two
Continental Breakfast
Join your coach with
luggage and a packed meal for the journey home.
Morning guided tour
of the beautiful city of Amiens, one of France’s greatest tourist centres. It
has a multitude of places to visit including two world heritage sites and the
largest cathedral in France – twice as big as Notre Dame in Paris.
Early lunch at a city
centre restaurant
Afternoon: Soak up
the festive atmosphere of the Christmas Market of Amiens – one of the largest in
the North of France with over 125 decorated chalets in the city centre. There is
something for everyone to enjoy, with carol singing, carousels, ice-skating,
children’s activities, plenty of shopping and an abundance of Christmas spirit.
Late afternoon
