The Loire overlooked by the chateau at AmboiseUK schools looking for an experience away from the history of the battlefields of the north or the pace of life in Paris may be tempted by the beauty and charm of the Loire Valley. Known as the 'Garden of France', this beautiful region became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. It's easy to understand why. The rolling green hills, it's famous vineyards, the magnificent chateaux and it's historic cities combine to offer a unique destination for educational visits.

The beautiful Chateau de ChenonceauEuroculture offers three residential centres in the Loire region. All are situated within easy reach of the motorway network to provide superb touring bases to make the most of your school's next trip to France.

The Loire Valley is perhaps most famous for its outstanding architectural heritage, home to over 300 stately homes - or chateaux. From our conveniently located centres it is possible to visit such masterpieces as the chateaux of Chambord, Chenonceau, Amboise, Villandry and Valençay among many others. There is even a 'Mini-Chateau Park' where many of these regal buildings are reproduced in miniature - a delightful sample of the larger-scale treats that are available in the area!

A unique multilmedia theme park - FuturoscopeThe architectural theme continues in the towns and cities of the Loire region. Orleans, Tours, Blois and Bourges are known for their medieval quarters with timber-framed buildings and narrow cobbled streets. Each of these fine centres has their own individual character, from Orleans and its ancient Joan of Arc connections to the lively city of Tours with its diverse, bustling University scene.

A departure from the historical context of the Loire, school groups can also enjoy a taste of things to come at the futuristic theme park Futuroscope. Just a few miles north of Poitiers, this popular day out is focused on the world of multimedia and cyberspace, with 3D IMAX cinemas and a host of modern audio-visual shows and interactive activities.

The magnificent 'jardins' at VillandryWhether it is the landscape, the architecture, the history, the culture or a combination of all these facets that attracts school visits to this region, there is certainly something to catch the imagination of every pupil here.

Your school group can visit one of our centres and enjoy the surrounding 'Garden of France' in 2011 for as little as £315 per pupil for a fully inclusive 4 Night Trip. Check out our sample itinerary for more details. With so much to offer UK schools in the area, please remember this schedule is just a taster - we can create a programme to fit your group's individual needs and objectives.

Use the menu on the left-hand panel to see specific details of each of our three residential centres, selecting from our centre near Amboise, Loches or Romorantin.
