Les Carroz d'Araches sits in the shadow of Mont Blanc which is just over a kilometre away. An excellent ski-station, the 2004 French skiing championships took place here. The resort offers beautiful scenery and the village which is at 1140m is most attractive. It is also a great base for summer visits incorporating many outdoor sports as well as excursions to Geneva and Chamonix which are less than one hour away.
